Wesley Day 2024
To mark 'Wesley Day' on Friday, 24th May - Wesley's Chapel and Methodist Central Hall Westminster are planning a number of events and services to mark the day.
At 10:00 am, experience the soul-stirring worship at Wesley’s Chapel, where the President & Vice-President of the Methodist Conference will be in attendance. The Vice-President will deliver what we a sure will be an inspiring sermon, followed by joyful singing by the Susanna Wesley Mission Auxiliary Choir in the courtyard.
Embark on a pilgrimage to St Paul’s Cathedral at 11:15 am, a symbolic journey reflecting Wesley’s dedication to faith and community.
At 12:30 pm, partake in the Eucharist at St Paul’s Cathedral officiated by Canon Alison Gowman & Revd Canon Jennifer Smith.
Pause for reflection at 1:15 pm as we lay wreaths in St Paul’s garden, honoring Wesley’s enduring influence on our lives and society.
As the day transitions into evening, join us at Methodist Central Hall Westminster at 6:00 pm for light refreshments, fostering fellowship and camaraderie.
At 7:00 pm, immerse yourself in the uplifting Songs of Praise for Wesley Day, a heartfelt celebration of Wesley’s timeless message through song and reflection. Led by Revd Tony Miles & our ministerial team, accompanied by the melodious strains of organist David Amoss, it promises to be an evening of spiritual rejuvenation and joyous reverence.
