Morning Worship Live Stream - Sunday, 4th October

Whether you come every week or haven't been inside a church in years, there is a place for you this Sunday. On 3rd October 1912 Methodist Central Hall Westminster opened its doors opposite Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament. For 114 years since, we have been a global Christian family following Jesus at the heart of London. We have been a place of worship, welcome and witness, and in 1946 we hosted the first meeting of the United Nations General Assembly. Generations of people from every nation have found a home here, and this Sunday we give thanks for all of it.

Join us for our Church Anniversary Service on Sunday 4th October. It will be streamed live from the heart of London as part of Church Online Every Sunday, so you can watch from your sofa, your kitchen or wherever you happen to be. You'll be welcomed just as you are.

Our preacher is Chine McDonald, Director of Theos, the Christian think tank that looks at religion and society. Chine is a writer and broadcaster whose voice is well known on BBC Radio 4. She wrote God Is Not a White Man and Unmaking Mary, she is vice-chair of Greenbelt Festival and she is a trustee of Christian Aid. We are delighted to welcome her as we celebrate our anniversary.

Together we will pray, sing, listen to Scripture and reflect on God's word. We'll give thanks for everyone who has gone before us and ask what it means to be a global family following Jesus in London today.
